Woodcrafters’ DIY Studio
Saturday, November 3rd, our chapter will be holding a social event at the Woodcrafters’ DIY Studio in Arlington Heights, from 1:00-4:00 PM.
If you are interested in attending, you will need to go to the website to register for our event. There is room for 24 crafters, so you will want to register as soon as possible. (Also, please feel free to invite a friend or relative to join you!)
When you get to the website, woodcraftersdiystudio.com, follow the step by step directions to register, choose your project, and pay for the event.
- Scroll down to the calendar and click on the DKG social event listed on Nov. 3, at 1:00. At the bottom of the drop down, click on “Register” and follow the directions.
- A screen will appear that directs you to then choose your project. There will be a list of categories of projects to choose from on the right side of the page. Scroll through the large number of projects to choose, click on the photo of the project you are choosing, and follow the directions to add it.
- Lastly, you’ll be directed to proceed to checkout where you’ll enter you name, address, etc., as well as your payment information. Once that is completed you are registered for our event.
You must register 48 hours before the event in order for the staff to prepare the materials needed for all the projects. If you have any difficulty registering, please feel free to call the studio’s # at 224-324-4333. The staff is very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The studio also allows outside food and drinks to be brought in. I thought in would be nice if each person attending would bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share. Once you have registered, please email or call me and let me know you are attending and you can let me know what you would like to bring.

Friday, November 16
Wine Tasting on Friday, November 16 from 7-9 pm. This is a social event and a fund-raiser for the Anne Fussell Scholarship. Gamma Gamma members and their spouses are invited (spouses or SOs can choose to participate or just come as a designated driver). The wine tasting will be given by Sam Wrobel, a certified wine specialist, who will talk about the wines, food pairings and holiday wine suggestions. The cost is $20.00 per person(pay when you arrive). Food, wine and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available. RSVP to Mary (firstname.lastname@example.org ) by November 3rd. This will be a fun time to socialize, as well as raise money for the Anne Fussell Scholarship!
